Dental Implant in Turkey

Overview

Dental implants are applied to replace damaged or missing teeth with natural-looking artificial teeth. The dental implant is surgically placed in the root of the tooth with metal screw-like rods and acts as the root of the missing teeth.

In Which Cases Is Dental Implant Applied?

  • One or more missing teeth
  • In dental problems that prevent speaking
  • In cases where dentures are not desired

Implants do not slip, make noise, or cause bone damage like fixed bridges or dentures.

How Is Dental Implant Done?

How dental implant surgery is performed depends on the type of implant and the condition of the jawbone. Dental x-rays are taken and a comprehensive examination is performed before the procedure. Dental implant procedures are usually performed with local anesthesia.

Firstly, an incision is made to open the gingiva where the implant will be placed. The implant is placed in the bone with the help of a metal screw and acts as a tooth root.

Then, the gum is closed and the process is completed. Dental implant application usually takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, but this time may vary depending on the jawbone and the type of procedure.

Post Dental Implant Procedure

After the dental implant procedure, patients return home the same day. There may be swelling of the gums and face, pain at the implant site, and minor bleeding. However, if these complaints persist or worsen, you should consult your doctor. The dental implant and bone will be integrated within a few months of the healing process. Soft foods should be consumed during this time and any force or pressure should be avoided on the implant.

My aunt had a knee replacement surgery on both her knees and we've seen an incredible progress eventhough it's only been 2 weeks. Doctor is amazing, hospitality is another level, nurses and all procedures are highly professional. As someone who has been to many big hospitals in Turkey, I must say this one is by far the best cause they're health-oriented as opposed to money oriented. Definitely recommend it to anyone especially for orthopedic surgery and physiotherapy.
